So what are we really looking for when we think someone is cool?
Lets take a quick look at what actually makes a guy “cool”, and how is works.
Why is someone seen to be cool?
“Coolness” if we may call it that is something which you can not teach, it is the confidence and the ability to carry yourself in a certain way, a certain manner so as everyone in the room will know that you are there. In one word, charisma!
Can you learn to be cool?
Acting cool is perhaps something which you can learn, but being cool is something which is natural - and they are oh so very different. A “cool” person does not need self promotion, a host of advertising executives and a big money campaign - they attract their own publicity. The type which money cannot buy.
Where are the cool guys?
Some of the coolest guys in the world may be living next door to you, they may be in your favourite movie or down the pub. Very often you will find that the coolest people do not know that many people see them in that light - they just do it, to them it is natural.
So whether you think Winston Churchill, Bill Gates, David Beckham or Bono are cool, or geeks, will be up to you. You may think your favourites singer is cool, or even that your father is the best. Cool to you and I will mean something different, and bring a whole host of people in to play.
